APROVED THE NEW LIST OF MOUNTAIN GAME SPECIES
NEW LIST OF MOUNTAIN GAME SPECIES COFRADIA CULMINUM MAGISTER
We hereby inform you of the changes we have made to the list of mountain species recognized by our Brotherhood and the consequent modification made to the membership form. Valid from 09.01.2024
This list, as it has appeared since the beginning of our Brotherhood is under permanent revision in order to update it, if necessary, for scientific, taxonomic and customary hunting reasons.
In this regard, our Board of Directors, after having analyzed some reports specifically prepared for this purpose and according to the criteria that our Brotherhood has always maintained, has decided the following changes in the list of mountain animals that appeared until now.
A.- To remove the Bezoar or Cretan Goat or Kri Kri Ibex (Capra a. cretica) from the list.
B.- To include the following mountain animals:
1.- Peruvian white-tailed deer or Grey LuichoVenado (Odocolileus virginianus peruvianus).
2.- Aodouad or Barbary Sheep (Ammotragus lervia) hunted in the sierras of the north of Mexico.
3.- Argali of Kirguizya or Humei (Ovis ammon humei).
4.- Maral of the Tien San (Cervus elaphus songaricus) that lives and is hunted in the mountains of the Tien San (Alatau range) in the east of Kazakhstan, border with China and east of Kirguizya.
5.- Bucharan Urial (Ovis vignei bocharensis) which is hunted in Tajikistan
C.- To modify the application form for membership in the Brotherhood contemplating these changes, plus the following:
1.- Caucasian chamois: this figures, by geographical rigor, in two continents, Asia and Europe, as this generates continuous errors, it is decided to delete it from the list of Europe, it will only count as one species.
2.- Aoduaod or Barbary sheep. When incorporating the mountain ranges of the North of Mexico to the already existing ones as introduced of the Spanish Levant and Davis Mountains of Texas, the introduced ones will count as only one species, although they have been hunted in these three areas of introduction and the one of the original habitat of the North of Africa count as another species more.
3.- Taruca (Hippocamelus antisensis) will only be accepted if hunted under legal conditions.
